Romelu Lukaku has made a positive start to his time in Italy by scoring four goals in his very first match for new team Inter Milan.
It was Lukaku's first match of pre-season after he failed to feature in United's tour of Australia and Asia ahead of the move to Italy, although he did train with his old side Anderlecht while trying to get match fit. Source, Game yetu

ODM'S ELECTIONS BOARD GIVES NOTICE ON KIBRA BY-ELECTIONS

''NEB invites interests persons for the Kibra parliamentary seat to download application forms from party website www.odm.co.ke , fill and submit to the Party Headquarters by close of business on Friday 23rd August 2019 '' a statement from the ODM Party reads. This comes a day after t he Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC)  gazetted November 7, 2019 as the date for Kibra Constituency by-elections .  In a gazette notice dated August 16, IEBC said each political party intending to participate in the Kibra by-election has until August 26, 2019 to submit names of candidates set to take part in the nominations. Party nominations according to IEBC, will be held on September 9 and 10 ,2019. The Kibra  seat fell vacant following the death of former Member of Parliament Ken Okoth, who  succumbed to cancer at the Nairobi Hospital.  Here is the copy of the Notice

Oparanya: Governors to shutdown County Governments in September

Governors to shutdown counties from September 16 if the Division of Revenue bill impasse is not resolved, CoG chair Wycliffe Oparanya has announced. CoG chair Wycliffe Oparanya addrssing the press, photo courtesy The Council of Governors (CoG) Chairman Wycliffe Oparanya said the Division of Revenue Bill 2019 stalemate has pushed county governments to the edge, making it difficult to pay workers on time.  He said all operations in all counties will be stopped on September 16, 2019. They woke up to vote for Ruto who was in partnership with Uhuru Kenyatta.” Gladys Shollei The Woman Rep further added that many people in the Rift Valley voted for Jubilee Party in 2013 and 2017 General Elections  because they supported Ruto and not President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Raila is set to receive the Icon of Democracy Award during the upcoming Africa Voice Achievers Award to be held in Nairobi on August 16. The African Union High Representative for Infrastructure will be among several Kenyans and Africans who will be feted during the third edition of the awards targeting personalities who have had a positive impact on communities in countries or region they live in. Each year people from various walks of life nominates individuals who they deem fit to be recognized for their contributions towards the advancement of Africa,” said Rev. Ambassador Elvis Iruh who runs the Netherlands-based Voice Magazine and founder of the award. The award committee is set up by the magazine’s board to screen and verify all nominations that are received. After shortlisting, the candidates are informed to accept their nominations.
