Sports:Gor mahia sends Dennis Oliech packing

Oliech during a Kpl match, photo courtesy The Kenyan premier league champions, Gor mahia announced on its official website on Tuesday night that it discontinued Oliech’s contract due to “serious and persistent cases of misconduct”. “The player’s poor performance on the pitch and serial absence from training without permission from the club have led to his premature ouster from the record Kenyan champions, just months into his two-year deal,” a statement from Gor mahia's website reads. The Kenyan football giants further said that it has attempted to reach out to Oliech without success “and resorted to termination of his contract”. Offices of the Auditor General and The Controller of Budget declared vacant

In a Gazette notice dated 27 August 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta has officially declared the Office of The Auditor General  and the Office of the controller of Budget vacant. The President has also invited interested Kenyans to apply for the vacant posts. Mr. Kenyatta however appointed Mr.Stephen Masha as the acting Controller of budget for a period of 90 days. Business: KENYA AIRWAYS reports Billions of Losses

Kenya Airways has today reported Ksh8.56 billion net loss for the half year ending June 30, from a loss of Ksh4.03 billion recorded in similar period last year. This is despite a slight growth in total income during the period which closed at Sh58.9 billion compared to Sh52.2 billion. It’s embarrassing to see even national leaders singing and dancing to the obscenity in public. The lyrics are dirty and not suitable for public consumption, especially children,” he wrote on Twitter. “Both songs are pure pornography. While we may not ban them because they are coded, it’s important for the public to know that they are dirty and unsuitable for mixed company. DPP lines up 67 witnesses against Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu on 588M graft case

The court as set pre-trial conference on 27/9/2019.  ''Prosecution is ready for the trial of Governor Ferdinand Waititu & 12 others charged with irregular award of Sh588 million roads tender in Kiambu County. Prosecution has line up 67 witnesses .'' Statement from ODPP twitter handled reads. Waititu was barred by the court from accessing his office until the graft case against him heard and determined. The prosecution had been pushing for officers including governors facing graft cases to step aside until their cases are concluded.
