Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko to fire 6 county ministers and 3 county Chief officers very soon. The Governor has publicly expressed his displeasure on his officers and also accused them of disloyalty and making key decisions without his input has their 'Boss'.  The Governor has narrated that he will emulate Kakamegas County Governor and the current chairman of COG Mr. Wycliffe Opranya's style of leadership who early this month sent home 143 county staffs on alleged corruption related cases

One family member and more than 40 other guests fell ill after attending a wedding last weekend. According to reports, at least 10 guests and family members are currently admitted in various Nairobi hospitals after testing positive to cholera. School suspends SDA students for refusing to seat exams on Saturday

Five students from AIC Chebisaas Boys High School in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County moved to court on Wednesday after they were suspended for allegedly refusing to sit for exams on a Saturday. According to the students who belong to the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) faith, Saturday is their professed Sabbath Day and they should observe it by going  Church. The school management allegedly suspended them on July 6, 2019 for failing to do the allocated exams their Sabbath Day. The students accused the school of infringing on their religious rights.

Sports Updates: Gor mahia match against Bandari venue moved

The Kenyan Premier League ( KPL ) have moved the venue of the opening match of the season between  Gor Mahia  and  Bandari  FC, set for Sunday. According to KPL CEO Jack Oguda, the Kenyan Super Cup - pitting the KPL champions and FKF  Shield Cup  winners against each other - will now be played at Machakos Stadium and not Kasarani Stadium as earlier planned. “We wanted the match to be played at Kasarani but the venue is already booked for another event,” Oguda

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi hosts leaders ahead of 2022 elections

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi on Sunday hosted several Rift Valley leaders in Kabarak as the battle between him and Deputy President William Ruto for control of the region continues of 2022. The leaders visited retired President Daniel Moi before holding a closed-door meeting with Gideon. Those present included Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos, Moiben MP Sila Tiren, Nominated MP Wilson Sossion and Kanu Secretary General Nick Salat. Others were former MPs Zakayo Cheruiyot, Musa Sirma, Frankline Bett, former Governor Isaac Ruto, Businessman Bundotich Buzeki and Tiaty MP William Kamket. The leaders discussed several issues concerning the region, including the welfare of farmers, peace in Kerio Valley and political trends in the region.
