Harambee Stars Michael Olunga nets his first hat-trick

Michael Olunga has registered a new milestone in Japan after scoring a sensational hat-trick on Saturday afternoon, August 10, to power Kashiwa Reysol to a 4-1 win over Renofa Yamaguchi.
This is Olunga's first hat-tick in Japan since signing for Kashiwa over a year ago, in a deal that saw him end a loan spell with Spanish side Girona and also terminate contract with Chinese side, Guizhou Zhicheng

South Sudan deports 16 Kenyans

Kenyan flag ,image courtesy Sixteen Kenyans are expected back home after South Sudan ordered for their deportation. The 16 Kenyans, alongside four British nationals, were working for a private security company but on Tuesday, the Ministry of Interior gave them 72 hours to leave the country. According to The East African, the deportation orders came just a few days after their company, Insight Security, failed to resolve a pay dispute over salaries and arrears of guards working for the firm. “There are 16 Kenyan nationals who have been given 72 hours to pay all dues which they owe the government, and also pay our people their pensions…then leave the country,” Thiik Thiik Mayardit, the Juba deputy mayor said. The Insight Security firm was closed down last week on allegations that it exploited local workers and had not paid taxes. Suspected Mombasa drug lord Ali Punjani today escaped police trap in his residence in drug swoop that has been declared by Interior CS Fred Matiang’i. Police in plains clothes, GSU officers and K-9 Unit police officers with sniffer dogs raided the home in Nyali trying to net Punjani, who is suspected to be a close ally of convicted drug lords, the Akasha brothers. Nandy Senator Arrested for Incitement

 Nandi Senator, Samson Cherargei, has been arrested at his Eldoret home over alleged incitement remarks that he made during the weekend against critics of DP Ruto.  Speaking at the funeral, Cherargei claimed that supporters of Deputy President were “marking and profiling” those opposed to his presidential bid.
