According to Orange Democratic Movement Director of Communications Mr. Philip Itale, Those opposed to the Building Bridges Initiative are real cowards. This might have targeted the Tangatanga wing allied to the Deputy President Dr. William Ruto who have repeatedly opposed the BBI and calls for a referendum

The court as set pre-trial conference on 27/9/2019.  ''Prosecution is ready for the trial of Governor Ferdinand Waititu & 12 others charged with irregular award of Sh588 million roads tender in Kiambu County. Prosecution has line up 67 witnesses .'' Statement from ODPP twitter handled reads. Waititu was barred by the court from accessing his office until the graft case against him heard and determined. The prosecution had been pushing for officers including governors facing graft cases to step aside until their cases are concluded.
