Four-year-old girl defiled and killed in Kirinyaga

A police officer and Gacigoini village residents in Kirinyaga County at the scene where a four-year-old girl's body was dumped on August 12, 2019. 
A four-year-old girl was defiled, killed and her body dumped in a coffee farm in Kirinyaga County.   
Stacy Nyakio’s body, which was found on Monday morning, had bruises on the neck, a pointer that she might have been strangled.
Last year, the victim's uncle Mr Laurence Murimi was also murdered and his body dumped in a coffee factory.
The family linked the killings to protracted land dispute.
MISSING
The body of the girl who went missing on Sunday evening, was a few metres from her parents' home at Gacigoini village. Source Daily Nation

The  Uasin Gishu Women Rep while appearing on K24's  Punchline on Sunday night together with her   Homa Bay counterpart Gladys Wanga ,  said that “When people from Rift Valley woke up to vote in 2017, they did not wake up to vote for Uhuru Kenyatta. They woke up to vote for Ruto who was in partnership with Uhuru Kenyatta.” Gladys Shollei The Woman Rep further added that many people in the Rift Valley voted for Jubilee Party in 2013 and 2017 General Elections  because they supported Ruto and not President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Keroche Breweries owners freed on bail

The Magistrate sitting on the tax evasion case involving Keroche Breweries Directors against The Kenya Revenue Authority has set the Keroche Breweries Bosses free on bail terms. “Joseph Karanja to pay cash bail Ksh. 2million within seven days while Mrs. Karanja should pay Ksh. 10million immediately’’ Magistrate Andayi ruled. More than 3000 of contraband sugar disappear from godowns

Police are investigating loss of more than 3000 bags of sugar suspected to be laced with mercury in two godowns in Changamwe and Jomvu in Mombasa. The godowns were closed last year by a multi agency team led by KEBS and KRA probing contraband sugar suspected to be contaminated with mercury and copper. In one the godowns owned by Bollore in Changamwe, thousands of sugar bags disappeared two weeks ago. Source the Star
