A member of Mombasa County Assembly (MCA) was arrested on Monday in connection to drug trafficking. Bofu Ward Representative Ahmed Salama was arrested in Likoni following the operation targeting politicians and businessmen suspected to be behind narcotics trade. His arrest comes a day after Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i held a meeting with politicians and security team. At least 18 people have been arrested so far. The Kenyan Premier League ( KPL ) have moved the venue of the opening match of the season between Gor Mahia and Bandari FC, set for Sunday. According to KPL CEO Jack Oguda, the Kenyan Super Cup - pitting the KPL champions and FKF Shield Cup winners against each other - will now be played at Machakos Stadium and not Kasarani Stadium as earlier planned. “We wanted the match to be played at Kasarani but the venue is already booked for another event,” Oguda
