FORMER KISII M.P PASSSES ON

Former Nyaribari Masaba MP and Moi era assistant minister Dr Hezron Manduku has passed on.
Dr Manduku was admitted at the Nairobi Hospital in the ICU since last week, and lost the battle on Saturday night.
Manduku was first elected in 1992, defeating Prof Sam Ongeri. He was appointed assistant minister Foreign Affairs following his success.

Wedding turns tragic as a person dies, 10 hospitalized

One family member and more than 40 other guests fell ill after attending a wedding last weekend. According to reports, at least 10 guests and family members are currently admitted in various Nairobi hospitals after testing positive to cholera. As of Wednesday, at least three of them were admitted at Mater Hospital, three at Mama Lucy Hospital and four at the Kenyatta National Hospital. However, the groom Wilson Wamunyu and his wife Sarah survived the scare and flew for their honeymoon in Dubai immediately after the wedding on Saturday. Speaking to the media, Samson Mathu, the groom’s brother noted that their 89-year-old grandfather, Wamunyu Wilson, died on Tuesday at Mt Kenya Hospital. Mathu noted: “We have written to the food supplier to demand answers.” He revealed that the food was supplied by Hot Dishes, a Nairobi-based restaurant with outdoor catering services. ''NEB invites interests persons for the Kibra parliamentary seat to download application forms from party website www.odm.co.ke , fill and submit to the Party Headquarters by close of business on Friday 23rd August 2019 '' a statement from the ODM Party reads. This comes a day after t he Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC)  gazetted November 7, 2019 as the date for Kibra Constituency by-elections .  In a gazette notice dated August 16, IEBC said each political party intending to participate in the Kibra by-election has until August 26, 2019 to submit names of candidates set to take part in the nominations. Party nominations according to IEBC, will be held on September 9 and 10 ,2019. KFCB Chief Executive Ezekiel Mutua during a press conference, photo courtesy Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Chief Executive Ezekiel Mutua has banned popular songs; Tetema by Diamond Pltanumz and Wamlambez by Sailors.   “Tetema and Wamlambez songs are strictly forbidden outside of clubs and bars. It’s embarrassing to see even national leaders singing and dancing to the obscenity in public. The lyrics are dirty and not suitable for public consumption, especially children,” he wrote on Twitter. “Both songs are pure pornography. While we may not ban them because they are coded, it’s important for the public to know that they are dirty and unsuitable for mixed company. Pastor Ng’ang’a apologises to Linus Kaikai over death threats

Pastor Ng'ang'a,Photo courtesy  Neno Evangelist Pastor James  Ng’ang’a on Monday apologized to journalist Linus Kaikai over death threats he allegedly directed at Linus.  Ng’ang’a  made the apologiy to Mr. Linus before Kiambu Law Courts Chief Magistrate Patricia Gichohi. “I apologize to Mr. Kaikai if he was angered by those utterances… I did not mean it that way…” said Pastor Ng’ang’a in a video uploaded to Twitter by Mr. Linus, a Director at Royal Media Services. “I have today forgiven Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism for the threats to life he directed at me in March this year,” tweeted the veteran journalist. “Pastor Ng’ang’a apologized to me before Chief Magistrate Patricia Gichohi at the Kiambu Law Courts and I accepted the apology.” Linus added on his tweet.  Linus Kaikai, Photo Courtesy
