Suspects too drunk to stand trial now free men

Police have now freed suspects who were arraigned at Kibra Law courts on Thursday while too tipsy to stand a trial. Confirming the release, Nairobi area police boss Mr.Phillip Ndolo said that the suspects were released on "humanitarian grounds".

The two Alex Mahaga and Frank Wanyama were found guilty of raping a musician last year at the Highrise Estate. This comes despite the defense praying for a noncustodial sentence. The Court was told that the two Kenya Harlequin FC players raped the singer overnight on her birthday at Seefar Apartments in Highrise, Nairobi, on February 10 last year.

Moi University Main Campus Over 700 students of Moi University are set to miss out of their graduation scheduled for 22/08/2019 due to missing marks. The affected student's have put blame on their lectures for hiding their marks. The university student's Leader however has turned the heat on their Vice Chancellor Pro Issac Sanga Kosgey and asked him to take responsibility. He was awarded a gold certificate last week for his Sweet Farm Dairies Roret farm which stood out among others in the region. The competition organised by the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Irrigation and Elgon Kenya, a non-governmental organisation, was aimed at encouraging farmers to transform their farms through technology. “In 2009, I bought a pedigree Friesian heifer which gave birth to the first heifer the following year. The cows have since multiplied; I now have 13 cows. The number could have been higher than this but I sold some,” said Ngetich.
