Akothee reveals the amount of money she is paid to perform at events

Musician Akothee
Popular Kenyan musician Akothee has revealed that she charges not less than Ksh 1 million  to perform at events.
While appearing on Radio Citizen's Mambo Mseto, the 'Sweet love' hit-maker claimed during an interview  that she is not only the biggest influencer but also among the highest paid celebrities in Kenya.

More than 3000 of contraband sugar disappear from godowns

Police are investigating loss of more than 3000 bags of sugar suspected to be laced with mercury in two godowns in Changamwe and Jomvu in Mombasa. The godowns were closed last year by a multi agency team led by KEBS and KRA probing contraband sugar suspected to be contaminated with mercury and copper. Mombasa MCA arrested after Fred Matiangi's order

A member of Mombasa County Assembly (MCA) was arrested on Monday in connection to drug trafficking. Bofu Ward Representative Ahmed Salama was arrested in Likoni following the operation targeting politicians and businessmen suspected to be behind narcotics trade. His arrest comes a day after Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i held a meeting with politicians and security team. At least 18 people have been arrested so far.
