Nandy Senator Arrested for Incitement

 Nandi Senator, Samson Cherargei, has been arrested at his Eldoret home over alleged incitement remarks that he made during the weekend against critics of DP Ruto. 
Speaking at the funeral, Cherargei claimed that supporters of Deputy President were “marking and profiling” those opposed to his presidential bid.
He went further to warn that when the time comes they would “deal with” the DP’s opponents.

Victor Wanyama in action, photo courtesy Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama has finally completed his move to Belgium side Club Brugge. The 28 years old will be the club's most expensive player in history. Tottenham Hotspur and Belgium's Club Brugge are reported to have settled on a fee of around Ksh.1.5 BILLION (£12 million) for the player. “Tottenham and Club Brugge have agreed a fee of around £12m for Victor Wanyama,”  Sky Sports  reported. David Rudisha survives a grisly road accident in Keroka

 Rudisha's damaged car, photo courtesy Kenyan athlete and world's 800M record holder Mr. David Rudisha is recuperating from a car crash that left him nursing minor injuries. Mr Rudisha was driving a Toyota V8 engine when its tyre burst near Keroka town, colliding head on with Ena Coach. The 10.30pm Saturday incident occurred at a notorious black spot along the Kisii-Keroka highway. Rudisha's friend  Mr Stephen Marai  , said the athlete is out of danger and was treated at a hospital in Keroka and later moved to Kilgoris Sub-County Hospital. "Rudisha is okay, but he is nursing minor injuries. We are leaving Kilgoris to Keroka Police Station now where he is coming to meet the police," Marai said.

Mombasa MCA arrested after Fred Matiangi's order

A member of Mombasa County Assembly (MCA) was arrested on Monday in connection to drug trafficking. Bofu Ward Representative Ahmed Salama was arrested in Likoni following the operation targeting politicians and businessmen suspected to be behind narcotics trade. His arrest comes a day after Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i held a meeting with politicians and security team. At least 18 people have been arrested so far. Interestingly, the MCA is among leaders who attended Dr Matiang’i’s meeting at Uhuru na Kazi in Mombasa. Source Daily Nation
