Embakasi Member of Parliament Babu Owino has come out to criticize the Government 's crackdown on betting firms.
''You cannot pick-pocket a naked man, personally, for me, betting companies assisted me in paying my university fee. I graduated in my actuarial science degree because of betting, so don't tell us that betting is bad ''  Babu Owino 
The legislator has slammed CS for Interior Dr. Fred Matiang'i over the suspension of betting licences  accusing him of serving specific interests from specific individuals. 
''Betting is a willing buyer,willing seller and we cannot be told betting is bad'' Babu Owino added. He further said that next week he will mobilize youths to demonstrate against the Government's crackdown asking Gor mahia and AFC Leopards supporters to come out and join the peaceful demonstrations.

Appearing before Milimani Commercial Court Chief Magistrate, Peter Ngare, on Wednesday, August 28, Ms Kitany said one day she peeped at her husband’s phone and “found a woman had sent him a pornographic video”. That discovery, on top of being denied her conjugal rights, drove Ms Kitany into filing for a formal separation from the former Igembe South MP. “I filed for divorce because Linturi was cheating on me,” Ms Kitany told the court, adding: “He slept with other women in town.” “Linturi would come home late, and did not want to give me my conjugal rights,” said Ms Kitany. Business: KENYA AIRWAYS reports Billions of Losses

Kenya Airways has today reported Ksh8.56 billion net loss for the half year ending June 30, from a loss of Ksh4.03 billion recorded in similar period last year. This is despite a slight growth in total income during the period which closed at Sh58.9 billion compared to Sh52.2 billion. Wedding turns tragic as a person dies, 10 hospitalized

One family member and more than 40 other guests fell ill after attending a wedding last weekend. According to reports, at least 10 guests and family members are currently admitted in various Nairobi hospitals after testing positive to cholera. As of Wednesday, at least three of them were admitted at Mater Hospital, three at Mama Lucy Hospital and four at the Kenyatta National Hospital. However, the groom Wilson Wamunyu and his wife Sarah survived the scare and flew for their honeymoon in Dubai immediately after the wedding on Saturday. Speaking to the media, Samson Mathu, the groom’s brother noted that their 89-year-old grandfather, Wamunyu Wilson, died on Tuesday at Mt Kenya Hospital.
