Sports:Gor mahia sends Dennis Oliech packing

The Kenyan premier league champions, Gor mahia announced on its official website on Tuesday night that it discontinued Oliech’s contract due to “serious and persistent cases of misconduct”.
“The player’s poor performance on the pitch and serial absence from training without permission from the club have led to his premature ouster from the record Kenyan champions, just months into his two-year deal,” a statement from Gor mahia's website reads.
The Kenyan football giants further said that it has attempted to reach out to Oliech without success “and resorted to termination of his contract”.
The club officially wrote to the player informing him of the step to end his contract and promised to settle his dues.
“In pursuance of the provisions of Clause 6 of your Player Agreement Contract entered into with Gor Mahia Football Club we hereby write to advise you that we have terminated your contract with immediate effect on grounds of Just Cause as also stipulated in FIFA Article 14 Regulations of the Statues and Transfer of Players,” read a part of Gor’s letter addressed to Oliech.

Keroche Breweries owners freed on bail

The Magistrate sitting on the tax evasion case involving Keroche Breweries Directors against The Kenya Revenue Authority has set the Keroche Breweries Bosses free on bail terms. “Joseph Karanja to pay cash bail Ksh. 2million within seven days while Mrs. Karanja should pay Ksh. 10million immediately’’ Magistrate Andayi ruled. More than 3000 of contraband sugar disappear from godowns

Police are investigating loss of more than 3000 bags of sugar suspected to be laced with mercury in two godowns in Changamwe and Jomvu in Mombasa. The godowns were closed last year by a multi agency team led by KEBS and KRA probing contraband sugar suspected to be contaminated with mercury and copper. Sports Updates: Gor mahia match against Bandari venue moved

The Kenyan Premier League ( KPL ) have moved the venue of the opening match of the season between  Gor Mahia  and  Bandari  FC, set for Sunday. According to KPL CEO Jack Oguda, the Kenyan Super Cup - pitting the KPL champions and FKF  Shield Cup  winners against each other - will now be played at Machakos Stadium and not Kasarani Stadium as earlier planned. “We wanted the match to be played at Kasarani but the venue is already booked for another event,” Oguda

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi hosts leaders ahead of 2022 elections

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi on Sunday hosted several Rift Valley leaders in Kabarak as the battle between him and Deputy President William Ruto for control of the region continues of 2022. The leaders visited retired President Daniel Moi before holding a closed-door meeting with Gideon. Those present included Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos, Moiben MP Sila Tiren, Nominated MP Wilson Sossion and Kanu Secretary General Nick Salat.
