Apologize within 24Hrs or face legal action,Raila Odinga to Nation Media Group

Former Prime Minister Raila  Odinga through his advocates Rachier Amollo Advocates has written an urgent demand letter to The Nation Media Group demanding an immediate apology within 24 Hours.
Advocates Instructions to Nation Media Group
Admit liability in defamation and malicious publication of false information , and immediately publish an unconditional retraction and apology on a front-page article of equal prominence in the Daily Nation Newspaper and on the online Daily Nation Edition. The Advocates also want to Media Group to site in their apology that '' Our client DID NOT join any presidential race''. 
 The advocates  will also enter into negotiations with the media Group  of damages as compensation.

Suspected Mombasa drug lord Ali Punjani today escaped police trap in his residence in drug swoop that has been declared by Interior CS Fred Matiang’i. Police in plains clothes, GSU officers and K-9 Unit police officers with sniffer dogs raided the home in Nyali trying to net Punjani, who is suspected to be a close ally of convicted drug lords, the Akasha brothers. Dispute between the Gor Mahia fc and striker Dennis Oliech has escalated after the player said that he doesn’t recognize a letter terminating his contract issued to him by the club on Tuesday. Shock as Varsity students fail to apply for HELB loans

Panic has hit the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Loans Board (Helb) over the declining number of continuing students in middle level colleges taking up subsequent allocations. It emerged yesterday that only half of the 43,000 who applied for loans last year have applied for a second allocation, raising questions on the whereabouts of the others. Questions are also being raised whether the students are dropping out of colleges after completing only one year of study, raising concerns over prudent utilization of public resources. The concern is further registered among first time applicants, with only 46,000 requests received by Helb out of the 98,000 who applied through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS). Addressing rallies in Meru on Saturday, Dr Ruto said amending the Constitution would be a waste of time. He said responsible leaders should focus on development initiatives to transform livelihoods of Kenyans instead of politicking. “They are disturbing us with these politics calling for changes to the Constitution. President Uhuru Kenyatta declares another Holiday in August

The Government has declared August 26 as a  public holiday to allow maximum enumeration of Kenyans during the National Population Census that begins next Saturday. The announcement was made today by President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Kenyatta National Convention Centre (KICC) , Nairobi when he launched the countdown to the 2019 Kenya Population and Housing Census. "To ensure maximum enumeration during the first two days ( August 24 and 25)  of the Census period, I have authorized Monday, 26th August 2019 to be a Public Holiday," the President announced.  This brings the number of Holidays declared by the Government this  August to two.
