Kenyan teams set for all African Games in Morocco that starts next week on Monday have been kicked out of their hotel rooms booked at St. Luke's Nairobi where they were to converge before leaving the country. The NAIROBI SUN has learnt that the teams had not paid for their accommodation forcing the hotel to kick them out.

IEBC announces date for Kibra By-elections

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has gazetted November 7, 2019 as the date for Kibra Constituency by-elections .  In a gazette notice dated August 16, IEBC said each political party intending to participate in the Kibra by-election has until August 26, 2019 to submit names of candidates set to take part in the nominations. Party nominations according to IEBC, will be held on September 9 and 10 ,2019. Dispute between the Gor Mahia fc and striker Dennis Oliech has escalated after the player said that he doesn’t recognize a letter terminating his contract issued to him by the club on Tuesday. South Sudan deports 16 Kenyans

Kenyan flag ,image courtesy Sixteen Kenyans are expected back home after South Sudan ordered for their deportation. The 16 Kenyans, alongside four British nationals, were working for a private security company but on Tuesday, the Ministry of Interior gave them 72 hours to leave the country. According to The East African, the deportation orders came just a few days after their company, Insight Security, failed to resolve a pay dispute over salaries and arrears of guards working for the firm. “There are 16 Kenyan nationals who have been given 72 hours to pay all dues which they owe the government, and also pay our people their pensions…then leave the country,” Thiik Thiik Mayardit, the Juba deputy mayor said. The Insight Security firm was closed down last week on allegations that it exploited local workers and had not paid taxes. Kenyan champions Gor Mahia will have it all to do in the return leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary match after settling for a barren draw in the first leg at Burundian side Aigle Noir CS. Gor made the journey to their East African neighbors hoping to establish an advantage ahead of the return leg in a fortnight. However, new boss Stephen Pollack got no more than an opportunity to observe whether his side is ready for competitive action. Nandy Senator Arrested for Incitement

 Nandi Senator, Samson Cherargei, has been arrested at his Eldoret home over alleged incitement remarks that he made during the weekend against critics of DP Ruto.  Speaking at the funeral, Cherargei claimed that supporters of Deputy President were “marking and profiling” those opposed to his presidential bid.
