Kenyan teams set for all African Games in Morocco that starts next week on Monday have been kicked out of their hotel rooms booked at St. Luke's Nairobi where they were to converge before leaving the country. The NAIROBI SUN has learnt that the teams had not paid for their accommodation forcing the hotel to kick them out.

Census is expected to kick off officially on Saturday 24 Th August 2019 and the enumerators are expected to take 30 minutes in every household they visit. “Counting will continue up to the 31st August 2019 when counting is scheduled to end. The Census teams will proceed with enumeration throughout the week, but all information will refer to the night of 24th August – the census Reference Night,” reads a statement on the KNBS website. 90,000 teachers quit teachers union,Knut

Shocking revelations have emerged of some 90,000 teachers who have pulled out of Knut in an ongoing tiff between the union and the teachers’ employer. It is understood that the fear of being locked out of the ongoing promotions and the looming deduction to recover monies paid to Kenya National Union of Teachers members following implementation of Collective Bargaining Agreement two years ago is behind the mass exit. Sources within Knut hinted that the likelihood that TSC may not honour any meetings with the Knut leadership to push for teachers’ benefits has further driven away members. Knut is already feeling the heat on the failed remittance of union dues of about Sh280 million, throwing branches into paralysis. Sossion admitted that the union is suffering. KFCB Chief Executive Ezekiel Mutua during a press conference, photo courtesy Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Chief Executive Ezekiel Mutua has banned popular songs; Tetema by Diamond Pltanumz and Wamlambez by Sailors.   “Tetema and Wamlambez songs are strictly forbidden outside of clubs and bars. It’s embarrassing to see even national leaders singing and dancing to the obscenity in public. The lyrics are dirty and not suitable for public consumption, especially children,” he wrote on Twitter. “Both songs are pure pornography. While we may not ban them because they are coded, it’s important for the public to know that they are dirty and unsuitable for mixed company. The  Uasin Gishu Women Rep while appearing on K24's  Punchline on Sunday night together with her   Homa Bay counterpart Gladys Wanga ,  said that “When people from Rift Valley woke up to vote in 2017, they did not wake up to vote for Uhuru Kenyatta. They woke up to vote for Ruto who was in partnership with Uhuru Kenyatta.” Gladys Shollei The Woman Rep further added that many people in the Rift Valley voted for Jubilee Party in 2013 and 2017 General Elections  because they supported Ruto and not President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Magistrate sitting on the tax evasion case involving Keroche Breweries Directors against The Kenya Revenue Authority has set the Keroche Breweries Bosses free on bail terms. “Joseph Karanja to pay cash bail Ksh. 2million within seven days while Mrs. Karanja should pay Ksh. 10million immediately’’ Magistrate Andayi ruled.
