Rift Valley Voters feels betrayed by Uhuru: Gladys Shollei

Uasin Gishu County Women Rep Glady while appearing on K24’s Punchline on Sunday night  said that the  Rift Valley region feels betrayed by President Uhuru Kenyatta because of his continued silence on the 2022 succession race.
The Member of Parliament  also claimed that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) is a ploy to let Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga get to State House through the backdoor.

More than 3000 of contraband sugar disappear from godowns

Police are investigating loss of more than 3000 bags of sugar suspected to be laced with mercury in two godowns in Changamwe and Jomvu in Mombasa. The godowns were closed last year by a multi agency team led by KEBS and KRA probing contraband sugar suspected to be contaminated with mercury and copper. The amount of Money Ken Okoth's family set to receive from Parliament

  Ken Okoth picture, in past event The family of former Kibra MP Ken Okoth will get Sh32 million from Parliament. The amount includes his group life insurance cover and death gratuity. ''But they will have to wait for some time since Parliament must first get a letter from the courts indicating the administrator of the late MP’s estate,”  MPs’ pensions expert has said “Yes the family is entitled to Sh32 million before tax, but we are not releasing the money now. Business: Centum cuts CEO's salary by 75%

Centum CEO James Mworia at a past event,photo courtesy  Centum Company has cut its  chief executive James Mworia’s salary by 75 percent on grounds of inability to meet  the investment company’s  targets. His salary dropped from Sh177.6 million in 2018 to to Sh45 million in 2019. The company’s financial report for the year ending March 2019 reveals. This is because the company did not make enough to pay a bonus. “Our bonus remuneration is linked to the cash return of the business with a hurdle rate of 15 percent. We did not achieve that in the period and we were therefore not eligible for a bonus,” Mworia told Business Daily. This is the second year in a row that Mworia’s salary is dropping. In 2018, his salary dropped to Sh177.6 million from Sh219.2 million. Mr. Mworia thus fails to be among the top five highest paid CEO’s in Kenya.
