Mama Ida Odinga turned 69 years old on 24- August 2019. The couples were blessed with four children, two sons and two daughters. Unfortunately they lost one son Fidel Odinga who passed on in January 2015.
Mama Ida however didn't seem to have had any major celebrations to mark her Birthday.

Dispute between the Gor Mahia fc and striker Dennis Oliech has escalated after the player said that he doesn’t recognize a letter terminating his contract issued to him by the club on Tuesday. South Sudan deports 16 Kenyans

Kenyan flag ,image courtesy Sixteen Kenyans are expected back home after South Sudan ordered for their deportation. The 16 Kenyans, alongside four British nationals, were working for a private security company but on Tuesday, the Ministry of Interior gave them 72 hours to leave the country. According to The East African, the deportation orders came just a few days after their company, Insight Security, failed to resolve a pay dispute over salaries and arrears of guards working for the firm. “There are 16 Kenyan nationals who have been given 72 hours to pay all dues which they owe the government, and also pay our people their pensions…then leave the country,” Thiik Thiik Mayardit, the Juba deputy mayor said. The Insight Security firm was closed down last week on allegations that it exploited local workers and had not paid taxes. Suspected Mombasa drug lord Ali Punjani today escaped police trap in his residence in drug swoop that has been declared by Interior CS Fred Matiang’i. Police in plains clothes, GSU officers and K-9 Unit police officers with sniffer dogs raided the home in Nyali trying to net Punjani, who is suspected to be a close ally of convicted drug lords, the Akasha brothers. He however managed to escape before police arrived. “We believe this house has been used to sell drugs. We will not get out of here until this house has been fully searched. The  Uasin Gishu Women Rep while appearing on K24's  Punchline on Sunday night together with her   Homa Bay counterpart Gladys Wanga ,  said that “When people from Rift Valley woke up to vote in 2017, they did not wake up to vote for Uhuru Kenyatta. They woke up to vote for Ruto who was in partnership with Uhuru Kenyatta.” Gladys Shollei The Woman Rep further added that many people in the Rift Valley voted for Jubilee Party in 2013 and 2017 General Elections  because they supported Ruto and not President Uhuru Kenyatta.
